You Can Have Reasons or Results and You Can’t Have Both
So most know the saying…”You Can Have REASONS or RESULTS and You Can’t Have Both”
There is Something Counter Intuitive about that statement with regard to HIGH ACHIEVEMENT…
On the surface you might agree with this statement.
Why? Because when focusing on Achievement, one would say…
You Can Have REASONS or RESULTS and You Can’t Have Both!
Meaning, either you have accomplished (The RESULT) what you set out to do or you have “the reason” why it didn’t happen.
Sounds Reason-able right? Not so fast…
In the grand scheme of HIGH ACHIEVEMENT…That’s right HIGH ACHIEVEMENT!
I’m not talking, you actually lead generated all five days this week, Achievement…I’m talking You accomplished something BIG!
Something you’ve never done before (although lead generate 5 straight days might be that something, but that’s besides the point)…
I’m talking Something that creates a BIG WOW! The one that puts you in the same Sphere of “The BIG DAWGS!”
You DO want to walk with the “BIG DAWGS” right? Of course…Keep reading…
Yeah, that sort of HIGH ACHIEVEMENT!
That sort of HIGH ACHIEVEMENT MUST be Powered by a REASON!
Here’s what I mean…Everyone has a Reason Why they do something and also why they don’t…
The REASON…the one that touches your inner core when you even THINK about it is what is going to drive you to HIGH ACHIEVEMENT.
Its the Alpha (Reason) to the Omega (High Achievement).
You see…once you have the REASON…You can get the RESULT!
Why? Because any HIGH ACHIEVEMENT is going to come with obstacles and difficulty…and the REASON – that deep down passionate driving force – is what will POWER you thru any and all obstacles or difficulty!
Without the REASON…What do you have? Honestly it doesn’t matter…What you HAVE to have, is aREASON!
So you’re probably saying, “What should we be saying?”
Try this one on for size…
GET THE REASON…GET THE RESULT!
You see, I believe that if you have that true powerful REASON, you won’t have “reasons.” You know…the ones everyone seems to have mastered as to why they didn’t hit a goal or do something.
For you LEADERS out there…If one of your Team members is not delivering RESULTS and they are giving you those “reasons,” It means one or both hasn’t gotten clarity on The REASON.
Get Clarity on The REASON and the Clarity will allow the individual to Achieve The RESULT.
How so you ask? Clarity allows for FOCUS…and what you FOCUS on becomes your REALITY!
Always remember…GET THE REASON…GET THE RESULT!
